If you are single, this is the place for you. Discover God's direction through in depth Bible studies, fellowships and service. Learn what it's all about. This ministry seeks to encourage and build-up those who are young single adults, single parents and single because of divorce, death of a spouse or have never been married. Meet us every Sunday morning for refreshing Bible studies & awesome fellowship.

An Open Door of opportunity for single adults who want to make a difference for Jesus Christ.
At Decatur Baptist Church, single adult men and women are truly accepted and considered a vital part of our church family. As adult men and women, they are given every opportunity to serve and to help lead our church family.

Through their Bible Study department and church-wide involvement, these dedicated men and women have made DBC a better place.

The Single Adult Bible Study provides...

Small care groups for single moms, single dads, singles who have never been married, singles under thirty, singles over fifty, and everyone in between

A warm and caring place to make new friends

A place to fellowship with other believers around God’s Word

A place for ministry, service and involvement

Monthly activities such as volleyball, canoeing, white water rafting, backyard cook-outs, bowling, movie nights, and so much more

A ministry to and for single parents

Retreats for Singles

One-on-one discipleship for new believers and new members

The Single Adult Bible Study meets...

Sunday morning (11:15 a.m.)

The Single Adult Ministry Supports and Sponsors...

DivorceCare - a support group for those experiencing the pain
of separation or divorce

GriefShare - a support group for those who have lost a loved
one whether it be spouse, child, parent, etc.

Singles for Christ is not a club, a para-church ministry or a glorified youth program. It is a local church ministry for single adult men and women who want more from their church than a pew to sit on.

Our statement of purpose...

"The leaders and teachers of the Singles Department after much prayer, 

discussion and thought have adopted and formulated the following burden, vision, and purpose."

I. Our Burden: Singles need someone to guide them to Christ. John 5:7
II. Our Vision: Reaching the world by winning, growing, and going. Matthew 28:19-20
III. Our Purpose: As a dynamic singles ministry proclaiming the Word of God, we purpose to make disciples of Christ by:
Outreach - Acts 1:8
Worship - Psalms 40:3
Fellowship - Proverbs 27:17
Discipleship - 2 Timothy 2:2
Service - Ephesians 4:11-12
