The DBC Mongolia mission team returned on 8 July after sharing with our missionary Mitch & Baljmaa Tillman. They endured the rains and visited the Gobi desert in an effort to better understand the needs of the region. This will enable a wiser use of our resources and help us to know how to pray and support our brother & sister in Christ.
The DBC Romania team has been back since July 11, 2008.
The Africa team of Ron, Melanie, and daughters are staying in support of Joe & Tammy Haden and need our prayers of protection.
The Africa duo of Shannon & Brandon are continuing although in different locations.
Our DBC China team returned recently in support of missionaries Chris & Annie . They shared wonderful news concerning the relationship building they encountered that will hopefully lead to future decisions for Christ in a nation where it is so desperately needed. The Buddhist religion holds the people in bondage by their attempts to please their Gods instead of enjoying the freedom of a relationship with Christ.
Our missionary to Austria, Curt and Melinda Brown enthusiastically shared on 2 July the great work and needs that are transpiring in their town of Graz. They have been in Austria for 6 years and are attempting to raise approximately $440,000 to fund the purchase of their current 1300 sqft. building they are utilizing for church services. They gave up their house due to the currency exchange rate that is causing a serious detriment to their ministry. This is holding true with ministries around the world due to the declining US dollar. They can’t work to earn additional income due to their type of VISA requirements. The Brown’s are feeling a loss of approximately $1500 per month in their support due to the exchange rate.
The Baptist religion is basically a “cult” in Austria and is an extremely hard region to apostatize. The body of the church is made up of all types of nationalities and many languages are used with English and German being the primary.
