Jeff Gilliam - Financial Administrator

Jeff grew up in Trinity, Alabama. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 1985, with a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Commerce and Business Administration, he began a career in mortgage lending. In 1989 Jeff was led to Decatur Baptist Church by an article in The Decatur Daily highlighting a mission trip to the Philippines.
In 1991 he accepted the position of Church Business Administrator at Decatur Baptist. He is in charge of all financial and office operations of the church. He has helped to oversee two large building projects for the church totaling over $9 million. In 1999 Jeff received a Master of Business Administration degree from Louisiana Baptist University.
For the past 16 plus years, Jeff has coordinated two classes, Financial Peace University and Legacy Journey, which helps people maintain control of their personal finances by using and applying common-sense principles. Using these principles he has helped families get out of debt and develop a habit of saving.
Jeff and his wife Terri have been married for twenty-two years and have two children – Andrew who is twenty and Timothy who is fourteen. Andrew is a junior at The University of Alabama and is majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Timothy is a ninth grader at Austin High School and plays trumpet in the Austin High band.
