Rex Terry - Praise & Worship Pastor
“And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” Psalms 40:3
Rex and his wife Dawn moved from Charlotte, N.C. to Decatur in 1982. They have two sons, Mason and Madison.
Rex holds a B.A. in music from Tennessee Temple University, an M.A. in theology and a D.Min. from Louisiana Baptist University. Dawn holds a B.S. in education from Tennessee Temple and Liberty University, a M.Ed. from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and she has her National Board Certification.
For the past 29 years, Rex has served as the praise and worship pastor at DBC. In addition to his music and media responsibilities, he enjoys teaching and training others in discipleship. His life verse is Galatians 2:20. He enjoys grilling, spending time with family, playing golf and other outdoor activities.
