Richie Thompson - Pastor to Students
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
Richie T. grew up in Cullman, Al. He graduated from Cullman High School in 2003 and attended Wallace State on a full music scholarship. In 2007, Richie married the love of his life, Holly Bennett Thompson. He is presently completing his seminary studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Birmingham.
Richie trusted Christ at the age of ten and began serving in ministry at the age of fifteen. Since then, he has served as a pastor to worship, children, and students. God has placed a HUGE desire in Richie’s heart to challenge students to live out Mark 12:30-31 “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
When Richie T is away from the office, you can usually find him in one of three places… charging through the woods on a four-wheeler, chilling on the beach, or cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide!!!
