True Christianity is not a denominational belief system, a religion, or the adhering to a list of do's and don't. True Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
John 3:3…Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:5…Jesus went on to say, "Except a man be born of water (physical birth) and of the Spirit (a spiritual birth that takes place when a person accepts Christ as their Savior) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Step 1: You must admit that you have sinned.
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Step 2: You must understand the penalty and punishment for your sin is death and separation from God.
Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death…"
Revelation 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Step 3: You must be willing to accept God’s love and forgiveness.
John 3:16-17, "For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Step 4: You must believe and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.
John 1:12, “But as many as received him (Christ), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him (Christ) from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

A relationship with Christ is a personal decision each person must make. It is the only way to God and heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me." John 14:6
